L\u00e4hn) je jedn\u00edm z nejstar\u0161\u00edch m\u011bst v Doln\u00edm Slezsku. M\u011bstsk\u00e1 pr\u00e1va z\u00edskal v prvn\u00ed polovin\u011b 13. stolet\u00ed. M\u011bsto se dynamicky rozv\u00edjelo a\u017e do konce 16. stolet\u00ed a hr\u00e1lo roli v\u00fdznamn\u00e9ho obchodn\u00edho centra. M\u011blo pr\u00e1vo obchodovat se sol\u00ed a od roku 1501 tak\u00e9 v\u00fdhradn\u00ed pr\u00e1vo po\u0159\u00e1dat holub\u00ed trhy, kter\u00e9 se staly jeho charakteristick\u00fdm znakem. V novov\u011bku v d\u016fsledku v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00fdch konflikt\u016f Wle\u0144 v\u00fdrazn\u011b upadl. Teprve v 19. stolet\u00ed se mu poda\u0159ilo obnovit svou ekonomiku. Tehdy se ve m\u011bst\u011b pokusili zalo\u017eit p\u0159\u00e1delnick\u00fd pr\u016fmysl, ale m\u011bsto nedok\u00e1zalo konkurovat mnohem siln\u011bj\u0161\u00ed Jelen\u00ed Ho\u0159e (Jelenia G\u00f3ra, Hirschberg).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed pov\u011bst si z\u00edskala hodin\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e1 tov\u00e1rna, kterou v roce 1850 zalo\u017eili brat\u0159i Eduard, Wilhelm a Albert Eppnerovi. V roce 1856 byl Eduardu Eppnerovi po audienci u prusk\u00e9ho kr\u00e1le Friedricha Vil\u00e9ma IV. ud\u011blen titul kr\u00e1lovsk\u00e9ho dvorn\u00edho dodavatele a dvorn\u00edho mistra hodin\u00e1\u0159e. Kr\u00e1lovsk\u00e1 z\u00e1\u0161tita znamenala nejen velkou presti\u017e, ale tak\u00e9 vysokou m\u011bs\u00ed\u010dn\u00ed dotaci. V t\u00e9m\u017ee roce byli do tov\u00e1rny p\u0159ijati odborn\u00edci ze \u0160v\u00fdcarska, co\u017e vedlo k v\u00fdrazn\u00e9mu zlep\u0161en\u00ed kvality a p\u0159esnosti hodinov\u00fdch stroj\u016f. Krom\u011b st\u0159\u00edbrn\u00fdch a zlat\u00fdch kapesn\u00edch hodinek vyr\u00e1b\u011bla wle\u0144sk\u00e1 tov\u00e1rna d\u00e1msk\u00e9 hodinky zdoben\u00e9 diamanty, speci\u00e1ln\u00ed hodinky pro \u017eelezni\u010dn\u00ed pr\u016fvod\u010d\u00ed a po\u0161tovn\u00ed dostavn\u00edky nebo z\u00e1v\u011bsn\u00e9 kyvadlov\u00e9 a v\u011b\u017en\u00ed hodiny. Na po\u010d\u00e1tku 60. let 19. stolet\u00ed zadalo prusk\u00e9 ministerstvo n\u00e1mo\u0159nictva manufaktu\u0159e v\u00fdrobu velk\u00e9ho mno\u017estv\u00ed chronometr\u016f pro vybaven\u00ed v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00fdch lod\u00ed. V\u00fdrobky z Wlen\u011b se vyv\u00e1\u017eely mimo jin\u00e9 do Ruska, Anglie, Egypta, USA a Braz\u00edlie a v roce 1862 byla v tov\u00e1rn\u011b otev\u0159ena dvoulet\u00e1 odborn\u00e1 \u0161kola pro v\u00fduku hodin\u00e1\u0159sk\u00fdch profes\u00ed.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Konec rozmachu p\u0159i\u0161el s otev\u0159en\u00edm konkuren\u010dn\u00ed tov\u00e1rny ve Zgorzelci koncem 60. let 19. stolet\u00ed, kter\u00e1 nab\u00eddla lep\u0161\u00ed mzdy a p\u0159il\u00e1kala kvalifikovan\u00e9 d\u011bln\u00edky z Wlen\u011b. V letech 1868 a\u017e 1872 se tov\u00e1rna pot\u00fdkala s hrozbou krachu, a proto byla p\u0159em\u00edst\u011bna do St\u0159\u00edbrn\u00e9 Hory (n\u011bm. Silberberg, dnes polsky Srebrna G\u00f3ra).
