The museum itself was opened in 1908 in the renovated Weavers&#8217; Tower. In 1933, the collection was moved to the Zamek Piast\u00f3w Legnicko-Brzeskich (former Castle of the Legnica-Brzeg Piast dynasty). Currently, the collections are gathered in four sections devoted to archaeology, ethnography, history and art. The artefacts include militaria, numismatic items, medals, paintings, prints, drawings, furniture, glass, ceramics, locksmith and blacksmith products, pewter products, medieval and modern documents, as well as a rich collection of Renaissance stonework.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most valuable artefacts include old sgraffiti donated by the Provincial Conservator office in Legnica. Their transfer from the fa\u00e7ade of the Schellendorf manor in Zagrodno was carried out by the art restorer Mieczys\u0142aw Stec.
