The Regional Museum in K\u0142odzko (Museum of the K\u0142odzko Land) has been operating since 1963. It is currently located in the baroque building of the former Jesuit boarding school. On the ground floor, in the former boarding school refectory, featuring original stucco decorations on the ceiling, there is a museum library with a rich collection of regional publications. The first and second floors host spacious exhibition rooms, a baroque-style \u201cGolden Room\u201d and a concert hall (in the former chapel of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, the patron of the boarding school). The museum’s warehouses and workshops were organised in the newly added part of the building. The inner courtyard houses a lapidarium, where the museum exhibits sculptures and fragments of ancient stonework. The medieval, 6-metres deep underground corridors have also been made accessible to visitors.<\/span><\/p>

The museum has a rich collection of historical, archaeological, ethnographic, artistic and natural artefacts related to the K\u0142odzko region. It presents them as part of three permanent exhibitions: “From the history of K\u0142odzko”, “Eyes of Time. Mechanical clocks popular in Silesia in the 19th and the first half of the 20th century\u201d and \u201cContemporary artistic glass in K\u0142odzko and the glassmaking tradition of the K\u0142odzko region\u201d. There is also a range of temporary exhibitions, the latter often presenting the achievements of contemporary artists linked to the area.<\/span><\/p>

The museum also carries out educational, promotional, publishing and research activities.
